Correspondence to Franz Werfel, 1938.

ArchivalResource

Correspondence to Franz Werfel, 1938.

Werfel had apparently been awaiting a response on a project from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in the U.S., and O'Brien regrets that he has no influence in the matter. The item is addressed to Werfel during the exile period in France; the reverse of the letter bears annotations in Alma Mahler's hand which appear to be related to practical concerns such as items to be bought or packed.
